As high as our standards tend to be, this show promises to kick things up a notch. It's got a tremendous script by one of history's greatest poets, a creative team full of Austin theater standouts, and opens this August at one of Austin's loveliest performance venues - the Rollins Studio at the Long Center.
We have until the August 12th to raise the $4,500 we need to open the show, and since Kickstarter is an all-or-nothing venture, if we come up even $1 short, then every pledge is returned. We'll be working to keep this campaign front-and-centered over the next several weeks, as we approach opening night for We Play Chekhov. Breaking String Producing Associate Andrew Hatcher and I will be providing updates on our social media outlets, and we'll also be releasing art, photos, notes and renderings that will lend an insider's perspective on the We Play Chekhov creative process.
